PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the variation in brushing performance by a difference in an operating direction of a toothbrush of a roller type. SOLUTION: The toothbrush 1 is formed by fitting a brush unit 3 in the form of a roller to the front end of a handle member 2, in which the brush unit 3 is provided with a shaft member 6 rotatably fitted to the front end of the handle member 2, a plurality of brush elements 7 formed by radially extending a number of brush wires 14 from an annular ring section 13 fittable to the shaft member 6, and spacer members 8 formed with the diameter smaller than the diameter of the brush elements 7 and fitted between the brush elements 7.
