METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR FORMING THREE-DIMENSIONAL SUPERSONIC IMAGE USING SIDE DISTANCE CORRELATION FUNCTION

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for forming a three-dimensional supersonic image using a side distance correlation function are provided to minimize distortion of a three-dimensional supersonic image by accurately estimating a distance between two-dimensional continuous frames. CONSTITUTION: A 2D/3D converter receives the digital signals for forming a three-dimensional supersonic image from two-dimensional supersonic image frames. A plane position correcting unit(21) estimates up-and-down and right-and-left motion between frames for arranging the two-dimensional supersonic image frames. An inter-frame distant estimating unit(22) estimates distances between two adjacent frames in the arranged two-dimensional supersonic image frames for interpolating positions of the frame to make equal distances.
