PURPOSE: A method for managing user information by using the SMS(Short Message Service) of a mobile terminal is provided to transmits the user names and telephone numbers stored in the telephone directory of a mobile terminal using the SMS. CONSTITUTION: The personal information data provided at the telephone directory of a mobile terminal are a group ID, a name ID, a home telephone number(24bytes), a home address(60bytes), a mobile phone number(24bytes), a pager number(24bytes), an office/school telephone number(24bytes), an office/school address(24bytes), a fax number(24bytes), an E-mail address(50bytes), etc. The data necessary to transmit to another user using a short message are a name, a home telephone number, a mobile phone number, a pager number, and an office/school telephone number. |
