DNA PROBES DERIVED FROM 23 RRNA GENE FOR DETECTION OF INFECTIOUS BACTERIA

PURPOSE: DNA probes derived from 23 rRNA gene for detection of infectious bacteria are provided, thereby accurately diagnosing the infectious bacteria. CONSTITUTION: An isolated nucleic acid molecule having the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1, and derived from 23S rRNA of Actinomyces israelii are provided. A DNA probe for detection of Actinomyces israelii comprises the nucleic acid molecules of SEQ ID NO: 1. Isolated nucleic acid molecules having the nucleotide sequences of SEQ ID NO: 2 and SEQ ID NO: 3, and derived from 23S rRNA of Staphylococcus epidrmidis are provided. DNA probes for detection of Staphylococcus epidrmidis comprises the nucleic acid molecules of SEQ ID NO: 2 and SEQ ID NO: 3. Isolated nucleic acid molecules having the nucleotide sequences of SEQ ID NO: 4 to SEQ ID NO: 6 and derived from 23S rRNA of Burkholderia cepacia are provided. DNA probes for detection of Burkholderia cepacia comprises the nucleic acid molecules of SEQ ID NO: 4 to SEQ ID NO: 6.
