MOTOR CAR DC POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM USING REGENERATIVE 2-LEVEL PWM CONVERTER

PURPOSE: A motor car DC power supply system is provided to reduce harmonic waves, and to improve efficiency of control of the regenerated power. CONSTITUTION: A motor car DC power supply system comprises a 3-phase AC power serving as a power supply; a transformer serving as a voltage controller; a rectifier for obtaining a DC power from an AC power; a circuit breaker; and a feeder line for supplying a power to a motor car. The rectifier is constituted by a 2-level PWM converter having a forward converting function and a reverse converting function. The AC power supplied to the motor car is converted into a DC power.
