Synthetic polyester, cellulose triacetate, polyamide, polyuretahen or polyolefine fibres triacetate, polyamide, dyed from organic solvents by impregnating with dye baths contg. anthraquinone dyes of fformula (I): (where R1 is alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl or aryl opt. substd. by 1 - 3 1 - 5C alkyl gps., 1 - 2 halogen atoms CF3, opt. substd. alkoxy, aralkylox or aryloxy gps. and R2, R3, R4 and R5 each are H, alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl, aryl, alkoxy, aralkoxy, arayloxy or CF3), and then heat-treating. Pref. R1 is 1 - 5C alkyl and R2, R3, R4 and R5 are H or 1 - 5C alkyl or more pref. R1 is phenyl opt. substd. by 1 - 2 1 - 5C alkyl gps. and R2, R3, R4 and R5 are H or 1 - 5C alkyl, provided at least one of them is alkyl. Dye mixtures can pref. be used.
