A semiconductor device as a recording medium is disclosed. Upon being subjected to a calculation process with additive information serving as a coefficient, reproduced information is at a quality level higher than basic information. Since the reproduced information is larger in amount of information than the basic information, a large recording capacity is required if the recording of the reproduced information is attempted in the form as is. This arrangement presents difficulty in copying recorded data from the semiconductor device to another recording medium.
