STOCK HOPPER WITH STOCK DISCHARGING MECHANISM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stock hopper with a stock discharging mechanism which can stably discharge stock with its bulk density increasing in the hopper without using a mechanical stirring means. SOLUTION: The stock hopper has a hopper body 1 having a stock inlet 2 on the upper part and a stock outlet on one of sidewalls on a lower part, and the stock discharging mechanism 4 provided on the bottom in the hopper body 1 for discharging the stock from the outlet. The hopper is equipped with a pair of sidewall plates 6 suspending whose lower ends reach the vicinity of the mechanism 4 and has the mechanism 4 structured such that the interval between both sidewall plates 6 widen downwardly. Shelves 5 are provided at an intermediate position of the height of the hopper to extend from opposite hopper inner sidewalls toward the center along the direction of discharging the stock by the discharging mechanism. The pair of sidewall plates 6 are preferably suspended downwardly from the respective tips of the shelves 5. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
