<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a device that enables the reduction of a manufacturing cost. <P>SOLUTION: The pixel 100 of a liquid crystal displaying device includes a channel area 18, a thin film transistor T including a source/drain area 22, a source line 26 to supply a current to the transistor T, a color filter 23, and a pixel electrode 24. When this pixel 100 is formed, a gate electrode 13, a gate insulation film 16, and a channel area 18 are formed on a glass substrate 10. A polyimide film 20 is formed to surround an outer circumference of an area, where each of the source/drain area 22, the color filter 23, the pixel electrode 24, and source line 26 are formed on the glass substrate after the formation of the channel area 18 and others, with a wall thereof. A liquid material is applied on the area surrounded with the wall of the polyimide film 20, and a film is formed by providing heat treatment.
