<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system properly performing a re-start after freezing point lowering substance is added. <P>SOLUTION: This fuel cell system comprises a fuel cell 1 humidified by using water from a water tank and generating power by using fuel and air, a means 12 for recovering water used for humidification and modification of fuel, and a means 30 adding the freezing point lowering substance for lowering the freezing point of the water into the water. The fuel cell system also comprises a power generation performance recovering means 30 for performing at least one of an increase in air supply amount to the cathode of the fuel cell and addition of air to hydrogen supplied to the anode thereof at the time of re-start after the freezing point lowering substance is added. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
