PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera in which depth of field is easily confirmed. SOLUTION: The digital camera finds depth (d) of field based upon a focal distance (f) of a photographing lens, a diaphragm value (F number) FNO of a diaphragm set by AF control and a distance (u) to an object detected by a range finding sensor. Then, the found depth (d) of field is displayed on a display part 46. On the display part 46, an indicator 60 representing the depth of field (focused range) and character information 62 representing a range of the depth of field with characters are displayed on the downside. Thus, a photographer easily grasps the focused range and the photographer can easily adjust the diaphragm, a shutter speed, and the like in accordance with an intention of photographing.
