PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processor capable of executing high speed data retrieval when comparing contents in the loop of a program in data configurations discontinuous on the address space of a storage device. SOLUTION: The microprocessor is provided with an adder which adds an information record size to the address of a storage device and a flag for inspecting the address range of the storage device in comparing the contents of the storage device with the contents of a holding means. Thus, it is possible to realize not only the comparison arithmetic operation of data but also the calculation of an address to be used for the next data readout and the inspection of the range of the address.
