PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle characteristic experiencing simulator which can make a driver feel the difference in the vehicle behavior in the driving in a variety of environments selected by the driver. SOLUTION: A vehicle motion arithmetic part 26 changes a motion calculation model for a simulation vehicle according to the simulation environment selected by the driver, and calculates motion information on the simulation vehicle on the basis of the motion calculation model. An image synthesis part 28 synthesizes a simulation image using the vehicle motion information. A motion control unit 32 calculates the motion to be given to a vehicle compartment part using the vehicle motion information, and controls an oscillation device. With this constitution, the sense of traveling similar to that of the actual vehicle can be imparted to the driver. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
