摘要 PURPOSE: Provided is a fire-retardant unsaturated polyester produced by using a heat expansion graphite, which has improved fire-retardancy and reduces the generation of gas when burning. CONSTITUTION: The fire-retardant unsaturated polyester is produced by a process comprising the steps of: adding 0.5-5pts.wt. of fine powdered silica to 100pts.wt. of an unsaturated polyester and rolling; mixing the resultant with 3-40pts.wt. of the heat expansion graphite and at least one fire-retardant agent selected from the group consisting of 1-50pts.wt. of a halogen-based fire-retardant agent, 0.5-50pts.wt. of a phosphorus-based fire-retardant agent, and 10-300pts.wt. of an inorganic fire-retardant agent and dispersing. The heat expansion graphite has a particle size of 32-325 mesh and pH of 3-7 and contains 90-99% of carbon and sulfuric acid or nitric acid.
