PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a highlighted display of a house frame shape spreading across a plurality of map images is influenced by the highlighted display of the house frame in another map image, when a plurality of highlighted house frames of the destinations are displayed on an optional personal computer by an instruction from a mobile terminal, and to provide a map distribution system which can display the highlighted house frame shape, in the map image display corresponding to a telephone number. SOLUTION: A mobile terminal 10a transmits the telephone number to be retrieved and a destination mail address for transmitting a map, to a Web server 20, as a retrieval site, by the instruction of an operator. The Web server 20 acquires map coordinates corresponding to the telephone number from the telephone number and resident information registered in advance, and prepares a map image and the house frame shape. The prepared map image is transmitted to the personal computer 30a by mail. A map image synthesis means 320 superimposes the map image so that the highlighted house frame shape is displayed.
