PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester conjugate fiber for a stretchable woven fabric providing stable performances, color tone and crimp development even if containing a recycled polyester. SOLUTION: The polyester conjugate fiber for the stretchable woven or knitted fabric is a fiber which has a constitution that a main repeating unit is composed of ethylene terephthalate, two kinds of polyester components having different intrinsic viscosities are conjugated in a side-by-side form and the polyester at the high-viscosity side is the recycled polyester having 0.6-0.8 intrinsic viscosity [η].
