The invention relates to a soundproofing device for a toilet bowl of the type comprising a seat-forming bowl (4) and a toilet lid consisting of a seat (1) and a cover (2) which can be lowered onto the upper edge of the toilet bowl. The inventive device is characterised in that, when the lid is lowered, at least one of the opposing surfaces of the upper edge (4a) of the bowl (4) and the seat (1) and/or at least one of the opposing surfaces of the seat (1) and the periphery (2a) of the cover (2) are provided with a flexible soundproof O-ring (3A, 3B) which forms a hermetic joint between all of the aforementioned surfaces as well as sound proofing the bowl. |
