<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an alkylcyclohexane solvent having physical properties suitable as a solvent for coating material, ink, adhesive, cleaning agent, rubber, releasing agent, etc., emitting low odor, having high safety to human body and free from environmental destruction problem. <P>SOLUTION: The alkylcyclohexane solvent is produced by hydrogenating one or more fractions selected from a distillation fraction of crude oil, hydrogenative refining product of the fraction, a low-boiling fraction produced as a by-product of the direct desulfurization of heavy oil, a decomposed low- boiling fraction obtained by the hydrocracking of heavy oil or a heavy gas oil and reformed fraction obtained as a by-product of the catalytic reforming reaction of naphtha having a boiling point of 100-200°C and containing≥90 vol.% aromatic component having a carbon number of 8-9. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
