1286058 Travelling wave shedding loom RUTI MACHINERY WORKS Ltd 19 April 1971 [13 Feb 1970] 21755/71 Addition to 1154115 Heading DIE In a travelling wave shedding loom wherein shuttles 18 are propelled by oscillating blades 19 and guided by slots 11 in guide members 38, exits 15 leading from the slots 11 to further slots 14 are provided such that if the shuttle jams it will be pushed by the member 19 into the further slot 14. When the shuttle arrives in the further slot 14 it pushes an electrically conductive member 17 against the metallic guide member 38 to complete a circuit which actuates a relay 24 to stop the loom and give a warning. Both the shuttle and the guide members 38 may be of plastics material, or the guide members may be metal.
