PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing orange oil containing valencene inexpensive but without having a strange smell, and the orange oil produced by the method. SOLUTION: This method for producing the orange oil comprises a process of treating the raw material oil containing valencene with an alkali. The orange oil produced by the method is also provided.
