An ablation catheter which is compatible with MRI systems, including a shaft and a distal tip assembly, each being made of MRI compatible material, at least one electrode supported on the tip assembly, the electrode being made of MRI compatible material, and at least one MRI compatible wire connected to the electrode and extending from the electrode to the proximal end of the shaft, the wire being made of MRI compatible material.
