PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small optical wavelength multiplexer/demultiplexer which can multiplex or demultiplex light of a narrow wavelength interval in a wide band and which has low loss, excellent mass productivity and a cost reduction effect. SOLUTION: An optical waveguide circuit 13 is formed on a substrate 20. The optical waveguide circuit 13 is formed by connecting a first to the N-th (N is integer≥2) narrow spacing optical wavelength multiplexing/demultiplexing circuits 8a and 8b to a corresponding light inputting part 9 or light outputting part 10 of a wideband optical wavelength multiplexing/demultiplexing circuit 7 having a plurality of at least either light inputting parts 9 or light outputting parts 10. For example, a first narrow spacing optical wavelength multiplexing/ demultiplexing circuit 8a multiplexes or demultiplexes light of a first set wavelength band, and a second narrow spacing optical wavelength multiplexing/ demultiplexing circuit 8b has a function for multiplexing and demultiplexing light of a second set wavelength band different from the first set wavelength band. The wideband optical wavelength multiplexing/demultiplexing circuit 7 has a function for multiplexing and demultiplexing light of the total wavelength bands including both of the first to the N-th set wavelength bands.
