<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate exhibiting sufficient adhesion strength between a polarizer and a protective film and having excellent heat resistance and moisture resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The polarizing plate is obtained by wet laminating a protective film of cycloolefin resin or the like having 5 to 200 g/m<SP>2</SP>/24 hour moisture permeability on at least one surface of a polarizer having ≤20 wt.% water content by using an aqueous adhesive.
