A roller shutter control device has a windable shutter (7) on a shaft (4) and electric motor (15) and drive belt (13). The control unit (3) has a memory and processor (26), monitor unit (23,24,39) for shutter end positions and a touch reel adjusting device (34-36) which can operate without need for a reset or current interruption to the control unit. Independent claims also included for the following: (a) a device as above in which the motor is controlled to stop at the end positions and these are remembered; (b) in which the end positions are set on the first operation of the motor;and (c) further methods in which the user-defined end positions are stored in the memory
