PURPOSE: A method for giving an electronic gift certificate by using a wireless communication network is provided to issue an electronic gift certificate to a specific cellular phone or a buyer through the wireless communication network, thereby enabling a user of the cellular phone to use the gift certificate online or offline. CONSTITUTION: An issuing server(120) issues an electronic gift certificate when receiving a message, and gives issuing information to a buyer(S301-S303), then informs a cellular phone(110) of the issuing as a short message(S304,S305). The cellular phone(110) transmits key-inputted issuing information to the issuing server(120)(S306,S307). The issuing server(120) decides whether the given issuing information is the same as the received issuing information(S308). If so, the server(120) performs reciprocal authentication(S309). An application program is downloaded to the cellular phone(110) from the server(120)(S310,S311). The cellular phone(110) stores the downloaded program in a memory to use a value of the gift certificate, and transmits a downloading completion result to the server(120)(S312). The server(120) supplies the issuing information to a distribution server(220)(S313). |
