LAMP SOCKET, LAMP ASSEMBLY USING THE SAME, AND LCD USING THE LAMP ASSEMBLY

PURPOSE: A lamp socket, a lamp assembly having the lamp socket, and a liquid crystal display device using the lamp assembly are provided to connect external power lines to lead wires of a lamp by a lamp socket not by direct soldering, thereby simplifying the lamp exchange in a short time and reducing the required parts for light generating. CONSTITUTION: A lamp socket includes a conductive clamp(250) and a base body(270). The conductive clamp elastically grips first and second lead wires connected to first and second electrodes of a lamp. The conductive clamp has first and second ends serving as first and second fixing parts(251), first and second grip parts(252,254) respectively extended and curved from the first and second fixing parts, and a connection part(253) connecting free ends of the first and second grip parts. A distance between the first and second grip parts is smaller than the thickness of the first and second lead wires. The base body has a bottom plate(272), and supporting walls(274,276) apart from and facing to each other via the bottom plate. The connection part of the conductive clamp is inserted into an interval between the supporting walls. The first and second grip parts are secured to the supporting walls.
