PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving the characteristics of a highly functional fiber false-twisted crimpled yarn and reasonably producing the crimpled yarn. SOLUTION: The method for producing the crimpled yarn is characterized by applying a twisting-dehydration treatment-untwisting continuous false-twisting treatment to a highly functional multifilament yarn according to the following expression: real twist number (T/m)=(20,000 to 40,000)/D1/2[D is the fineness (dtex) of the multifilament yarn].
