摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst difficult to cause lowering of catalyst activity even if fuel deficiency occurs, as for the catalyst for a fuel electrode of a high polymer solid electrolyte fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: This catalyst for the fuel electrode of the high polymer solid electrolyte fuel cell is formed by having platinum and ruthenium carried on a carbon powder carrier, and the carrying ratio of platinum to ruthenium is 1: 2.5-1:4 (mol ratio). The carrying density of this catalyst is preferably 40-70%.
