PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear motor which can materialize sufficient stroke without enlarging the size much as a whole, and can facilitate integration into a compressor, etc., by simplifying the structure. SOLUTION: This linear motor has a laminated core, whose stacking direction is parallel with the direction of its motion and further has a stator 1, which is constituted by winding a coil 1d on each tooth 1c and a mover 2, which is constituted of a magnet 2a and a nonmagnetic substance 2b.
