PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus equipped with a fixing apparatus wherein a power consumption can be suppressed and a warm-up time can be shortened while surely heating a toner image and a paper as necessary without making a nip width between a heat roller and a pressure roller larger. SOLUTION: As for the fixing apparatus 14 equipped with a pair of fixing rollers constituted of the heat roller 141 and the pressure roller 142, and for fixing an unfixed toner on the paper surface to the paper, a bias roller 143 where a bias for attracting the paper to the heat roller is applied is arranged on the upstream side of the nip part between both rollers in the paper carrying direction.
