PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a portable machine for an electronic key, which allows a mechanical key for the portable machine to be housed in a portable machine body and makes an outer shape good-looking. SOLUTION: The mechanical key 8 is housed in a key housing groove 7 in the portable machine body 2 by being turnably provided on the machine body 2 in which an ID signal transmitter 10 and a battery 11 are built; and a key-side protrusion 12 is provided near a turning base part. A cap-side protrusion 13, which can be engaged with the protrusion 12, is provided in a cap 3 for covering the machine body 2, so as to constitute an engaging means R with the protrusion 12. When the cap 3 is removed from the machine body 2, the mechanical key 8 is made to pop up from the machine body 2 via the engaging means R. In the mounting of the cap 3, the mechanical key 8 is housed in the housing groove 7 via the engaging means R. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
