Process for the mfr. of precision signal strip conductors or cables, consisting of any arbitrary, but predominantly large, number of mutually parallel conducting elements sheathed in a high polymer plastic, particularly a so-called Van der Waal polymer e.g. PTFE and/or copolymers thereof, by bringing a previously available or specially produced polymer of the above type, pref. unsintered PTFE into contact with any arbitrary number of conducting elements and processing the assembly with any suitable tool to give a laminate, with complete or partial activation of the reserve of PTFE films available for compression or sheath, the periphery of the work surface of the laminating tool being derived by application of known principles of circular geometry, from the values of the compression quotient (K1) and the sheath quotient (S1) for the films in question, as well as the combination of these values with the stress constant (AK). |
