HARMFUL INSECT COUNTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a harmful insect counter enabling continuous counting of the number of exclusively the objective harmful insects for a long period by attracting the harmful insects of farm crops by a synthetic pheromone and capturing with an adhesive sheet. SOLUTION: Harmful insects are attracted by the synthetic pheromone 11 and captured on the exposed face of the adhesive sheet A. The image of the captured insects is photographed with light projecting means 1-1, 1-2 and an image-taking means 2 and the objective insects are discriminated and counted by an image-processing means 3. The counting of the insects can be continuously carried out over a long period by using a rolled adhesive sheet. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
