PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vacuum cleaner which can realize the increase of a sucking in force by making an air stream smoothly flow by straightening the air stream being sucked in from a suction nozzle in an intake air passage. SOLUTION: This electric vacuum cleaner is equipped with an electric blower 3 which generates the air stream for sucking in dust and dirt. In an air channel 16 on the upstream side and/or the downstream side of the electric blower 3, a honeycomb-like blow straightening element 14 which smooths the stream by rectifying the sucked in air stream is arranged. A pressure loss of the intake air is reduced by smoothing the air stream of the intake air to increase, the sucking force. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
