<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double bearing reel for fishing in which a stable reeling state is obtained by a level wind mechanism while ensuring a good spool-free property. <P>SOLUTION: The double bearing reel is equipped with a spool rotatably supported between side plates of a reel body and a level wind mechanism wound attached between side plates in front of the spool and uniformly winding a fishline around the spool by reciprocating a fishline guide body on a traverse cam shaft supported between the side plates. In the double bearing reel, a level wind driving motor, attached to a reel body and rotating and driving the traverse cam shaft, a rotation detecting means for detecting a rotation state of the spool and a control means for driving and controlling the level wind driving motor based on a detected value of the rotating and detecting means are provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
