摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a multiplex recording of still images having a large quantity of data together with moving images and sounds in an information recording medium such as an optical disc or the like and effective reproduction of the still images while decreasing the amount of processing load. SOLUTION: In the information recording medium, whole streams containing a plurality of partial streams each composed of contents information including still image information are subjected to the multiplex recording by the packet. The information recording medium stores object data composed of a plurality of packets each storing fragments of the contents information, reproduction sequence information prescribing a reproduction sequence of the object data and corresponding definition information defining corresponding relationship between a plurality of multiplexed packets for controlling reproduction of the object data and a plurality of the partial streams. The reproduction sequence information and the corresponding definition information are provided with read control flags respectively indicating whether to perform reading of the still images at the start of reproduction or not.
