<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an instantaneous printing type image forming apparatus by placing all other operation members in specified states wherein they are ready to operate when a fixing unit reaches specified temperature and sufficiently shortening a warm-up time without causing trouble in an image reading process or/and an image forming process. <P>SOLUTION: When the respective operation members begin to be supplied with electric power, a necessary time needed to raise the current temperature of the surface of a heat roller 21 of the fixing unit 217 up to specified temperature is obtained and when a time needed to increase the current quantity of light of a copy lamp 1a up to the specified quantity of light and a time needed to increases the current speed of a motor 13 driving a polygon mirror 12 up to a specified speed are longer than the necessary time, the duty ratio of the electric power waveforms supplied to the copy lamp 1a and motor 13 is increased to make the copy lamp 1a and motor 13 enter specified states within the necessary time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
