PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To encourage a user to actively participate in a lottery by means of a lottery result determination system. SOLUTION: The lottery result determination system comprises: a recording device comprising a serial number reading part for reading from a write-once recording medium a serial number affixed at the manufacture of the recording medium, a unique data generation part for generating unique data according to data recorded on the recording medium, an arithmetic data generation part for arithmetically processing the serial number and the unique data to generate arithmetic data, and a first recording part for recording the arithmetic data on the recording medium; and a lottery result determining device comprising a lottery number reading part for reading as a lottery number the arithmetic data recorded on the recording medium by the first recording part, a winning number generating part for generating a winning number, a lottery result determining part for comparing the lottery number and the winning number to determine a lottery result, a determination end data generating part for generating data showing the end of lottery result determination when the lottery result determining part determines the lottery result, and a second recording part for recording the determination end data on the recording medium.
