CONTENTS REPRODUCER AND METHOD, RECORDING MEDIUM AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To edit a captured image automatically and simply according to an editor's intention. SOLUTION: A reproducing start point and a reproducing end point of a VOBU unit of an image reproduced by a disc cam coder are recorded on a Play Data 81 for every reproduction. The recorded reproducing start points and end points are read out to obtain edition points showing the longest, the shorted or a mean length reproducing section. The obtained edition points are recorded in a UD-PGCIT 94. Based on data of the edition points in the UD-PGCIT 94, scenes are reproduced sequentially to execute an automatic edition reproduction.
