PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a scheme for interrupting and resuming a collecting process of document files from a network if necessary. SOLUTION: A Web collecting module 111 executes a document file collecting process for collecting, with the document file specified by a starting point address information as a starting point, the related document file group from the internet/intranet 30. If an administrator user instructs an interrupt, the Web collecting module 111 interrupts the document file collecting process in execution. For resuming the document file collecting process, the execution of the document file collecting process is resumed from the continuation of the interrupted document file collecting process by detecting document files not collected yet for following the document files already collected with the interrupted document file collecting process based on the document collecting result kept in a result file 203.
