Scale model figure with working parachute - has catapult coil spring to propel figure from handle mounted launching rod

The scale model of a parachute jumper (1) is provided with a hole which extends from head to foot of the figure. The hole locates a launching rod (2) which is attached to a spring loaded catapult handle (4). A folded parachute (7) is folded inside a container at the back of the figure. A trigger lever (6) releases a foot of the figure in order to allow the catapult spring to release its stored energy. After the model has reached the highest point of its trajectory, the parachute automatically unfolds. The scale model thus returns to the ground under controlled conditions.
