Two grappler-arms (2) swivel on an articulated axle (1) and are closed by means of a pulling device. Jaws (4) are mounted on the gripper-arms which have claws for gripping pallets and are closed by means of a pulling device. The jaws are mounted on axles (3) parallel with the articulated axle. The jaws each form a dual-armed lever the front one of which, in the claws' lengthwise direction , supports a stop (6) protruding towards the grappler's mouth, while the rear lever arm supports the claw (7).
