<p>A program selection device which can be preferably applied to a broadcast reception device or the like. A program selection condition consisting of a genre, keyword, and a time band is set to set automatic recording. A recording medium built in a recording medium unit (30) has a storage area for storing the keyword used for this setting. The storage area consists of a fixed area for storing a plurality of fixed keywords and a modification area for storing a plurality of keywords which can be modified. Keywords stored in the modification area are, for example, downloaded from a server (40) via a modem (32) according to the user operation. Without providing input means such as a keyboard for inputting a keyword into a device, it is possible to set a program selection condition by using a new keyword, thereby constituting the device at a low cost.</p> |
