<p>Agglomerated material consists of visible, palpable particles, pref. of particle size 420-840 mu, selected from (a) water-insol. dental polishing agents, e.g. di-calcium phosphate; (b) mixtures of 75-98% of the dental polishing agent with (b1) a water-sol. binder, e.g. polyethylene glycol; (b2) a water-sol. binder and a lubricant e.g. talc, calcium stearate; (b3) a water-sol. binder and a non-abrasive diluent, e.g. lactose, starch, and (b4) a water-sol. binder, a lubricant and a non-abrasive diluent; and (c) mixtures of 99% of the water-insol. polishing agent and a lubricant. The agglomerates are readily reduced into the individual particles of polishing agent when subjected to moderate mechanical action. The final toothpastes are translucent contg. these agglomerates visibly distributed therein.</p> |
