PURPOSE:To realize a high-speed process as well as a small size plus a low cost for the facsimile device, by storing the parallel picture element data of every fixed bit into the 1st region of RAM from the picture information input part during the transmission and then taking out the stored parallel data to calculate the run length. CONSTITUTION:Microcomputer mu-COM of the facsimile device consists of the following parts: microprocessing CPU part V: timing generating part VI; control program memory part VII which consists of two units of ROM of 4K-byte and stores the encoding data corresponding to the working procedure and the run length; and information memory part VIII comrising RAMI and RAMII of 1KX4 bytes each. Based on the working procedure, the parallel picture element data of every fixed bit are stored successively in RAMI from picture information input part II during the transmission, and then the stored picture element data are extracted successively with every fixed bit to calculate the run length. And the prescribed encoding data is extracted from ROM in accordance with the calculated run length to be stored in RAMII, and then the stored encoding data are delivered successively to transmission/reception information input/output part IX with every fixed bit and in fixed timing VI. |
