<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester which solves the problem of the conventional joint use system of a germanium compound, an antimony compound, and a cobalt compound, is excellent in color tone, clarity, and aging stability, and is suitable for molded articles such as hollow containers, sheets, and films. <P>SOLUTION: This polyester is characterized in that it is prepared by using an aromatic dicarboxylic acid component and an alkylene glycol component as the main components, contains 1-5 ppm phthalocyanine pigment, and has an intrinsic viscosity of 0.6 or higher. Preferably, the b value of the polyester in the Hunter's Lab color specification method is 2 or lower.
