METHOD FOR FABRICATING LCD

PURPOSE: An LCD fabricating method is provided to improve OLB areas of a panel adopting a resin for expanding array and cell test valid areas and improve the reliability in the test by forming barriers between pads. CONSTITUTION: An LCD fabricating method includes preparing a transparent substrate(30) including pad parts(A) and pixel parts(B), and forming pads(33) and gates(32) by patterning a metal layer deposited on the pad and pixel parts by a first masking. A gate insulating film(34) is deposited on the entire surface of the substrate and an active layer(35) is formed on the gate insulating film. The active layer is serving as a barrier for etching(etch stopper). After forming sources and drains(36a,36b) on the pixel parts, holes(39) are formed by depositing and selectively removing a resin(38) and a protecting film(37). The resin is entirely removed from the pad parts. In the pixel parts, the resin remains and serves as a mask for removing the protecting film and the gate insulating film.
