PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a electronic part which is quite suitable for a case where external electrodes are formed on two side planes opposite to each other in a chip forming a cuboid shape. SOLUTION: In a chip CC of the cuboid shape having a dimensional relation of length > width > thickness, a chip housing body 2 has a rectangular dent 2a which can accommodate the chip in a state that one of the two side planes determining the width is projected and is mounted on a conveying belt 1. The chip CC accommodated in the rectangular dent 2a of the chip housing body 2 is sucked and held to a bottom of the rectangular dent 2a, and in this state, the conveying belt 1 is intermittently moved, while coating an electrode paste on the two side planes determining the width of the chip CC and drying a coating paste CPa are carried out.
