PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element having a hole injection layer and a light emitting layer, with long life. SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent element has the hole injection layer and the light emitting layer between electrodes composed of a positive electrode and a negative electrode. The hole injection layer contains strong acid and a conductive polymer. The conductive polymer contained in the hole injection layer is a copolymer of thiophene, derivative of thiophene, pyrrole, derivative of pyrrole, aniline, and derivative of aniline.
