PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-dimensional data complementary device and a two-dimensional data complementary device by using a charge coupled device, which convert two types of independent input signals into a plurality of charge signals proportional to respective inputs, and smoothly complement signal values between the input signals. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a charge supply means 5 which sequentially receives inputted time-sequential signals and supplies L-pieces (L is an integer of 3 or larger) of charge signals proportional to the time-sequential signals, and a shift register 2 composed of a charge transfer circuit having L-pieces of charge signal accumulation gates. L-pieces of outputs from the charge supply means 5 supply the charge signals to the charge signal accumulation gate. The charge signals once supplied from the charge supply means are added to the charge signals which already exist on the shift register 2 at each shift operation of the shift register 2 by K number of times (K is an integer larger than 2 and equal to or smaller than L).
